illya and i decided that since we were FINALLY blessed with a sunny sunday, we'd go to the zoo here in dc. the good and the bad? the good was, it was free admission! the bad? because it was free to get in, it was PACKED with people! but, we still had a really good time together
(i've never had a bad time at the zoo yet)...
this was my favorite animal of them all...the ukrainian ding bat! hehehe
they recently had some panda bears come to the zoo. there must've been a hundred people surrounding the exhibit. but, we were still able to get a few shots in.
oh, this elephant was amazing! they shut the door on him so, for a few minutes, he sat there banging his head on the door to let him in(don't you love the smile on his face??)
here's the elephants toy ball. it was HUGE!
this was the coolest fountain. it spouted out water from its' trunk. i want it for my own yard!!
this praire dog sat in this position the whole time we were watchin him... kinda' creepy.
we took a picture of this little fella' because it reminded us of our italian greyhound, lucy.
so, my little animal, we had yet another successful day off together.see ya' next sunday!

we were there on sunday too! you got some amazing pictures! did you see the monkey that kept making itself throw up and eating it? SO GROSS... but of course luke was loving it!

I love all the free things to do in DC, I would almost live there...but I already did and didn't like it :-P but I love sunny days at the zoo! Now you have to go with a kid (it doesn't have to be yours!) they are SO much fun at the zoo! Makayla would stand at the Tiger cage and go "roar!" it was so cute :-)

The zoo is so fun! We really need to go back and see the rest of it! You got a way better pic of the panda than we did! He was totally hiding the whole time we were there. We'll see you at the pool party today! I'm so excited for some nice weather!
